All patients registered at practices in Nottingham city can access additional routine appointments at evenings and weekends through our GP+ Nottingham City service. Launched in April 2018, this is Nottingham’s first city-wide extended hours GP Service.

Since October 2022, GP+ is now delivered as the Enhanced Access service, with GP+/NCGPA as the subcontractor (replacing the Extended Access in the GP contract). This means that you could have an appointment at the GP+ Hub on Angel Row, at your registered GP practice, or at another NHS service near you. The PCNs will be working in different ways to provide a tailored offer to their communities depending on the health and social needs.

The service offers appointments with GPs, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, and Physiotherapists in a fully equipped accessible location in the heart of Nottingham city.

The Care Quality Commission, who is the independent regulator of health and social care providers in England, carried out their first periodic inspection of the GP+ service in February 2019. We’re delighted to announce that they awarded the service a “Good” rating.

Appointments are available from the reception team at your registered GP practice (where you usually go for appointments) to book for you. If you are booked an appointment with the GP+ service you will be told the location of your appointment, be it at our central hub or in a location local to you.

GP+ is not a walk-in service, all appointments must be pre-booked.

The service is located at 64 Long Row, Nottingham, NG1 6JE.

This is also known as the Angel Row entrance, found between Tesco Express and Pepes.

The GP+ Service has been funded through NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and is being delivered by the Nottingham City GP Alliance (NCGPA) in collaboration with Primary Care Networks in Nottingham city. We are committed to working with our city practices to maintain and improve access to primary care services for their patients.
